Air Quality - Monitoring Sites

Measurements from the continuous monitoring of Air Quality in and around the London Borough of Hillingdon are available as part of the London Air Quality Network (LAQN).
The network measures a small number of pollutants which have legal ambient objectives. In London these tend to be dominated by traffic sources rather than particular industrial sources. Many of the pollutants controlled at industrial sites are not monitored by the LAQN. Processes may do local monitoring, which would not be included in the LAQN, but instead would be detailled in the process documents.
The map to the left shows the location of the continuous monitoring sites in and around the Borough. The numbers indicate the latest daily air pollution index at each site.
To find out more about the monitoring sites simply click one of them and you will be taken to the latest daily bulletin for that site.
To find out more about monitoring sites across London please visit the London Air website which includes archived data, assessment to yearly objectives, data download and information on pollution episodes.
The LAQN is operated and managed by the Environmental Research Group (ERG) at King's College London. Each borough funds monitoring in its own area.
